  1. fuck all those people who said someone else brought em here, my lack of
ability to do such mixdown is the reason why I’m here.

  2. If you don’t have the equipment for mastering, you don’t have the equipment
    for mixing either 😉

You just need a good monitoring system and neutral acoustics. And good
    ears.

  3. Hi, i recently finished 2 tracks (Unmastered). And i think the mix is good
but the song keeps jumping in the +3.0 dB. how do i lower this?

  4. Just a basic bit of advice to everyone here, keep in mind that there are
more (and in some aspects, better) ways of approaching a mixdown. You DO
NOT always have to compress or EQ your kick, and EQing should actually be
done after you’ve used your volume sliders. That’s the single most
important thing that should always be done first (Porter Robinson said so
in his Reddit ama). Volume sliders. In most cases, all EQing does is change
the volume levels to make it sound better, but if you’re not using your
volume sliders first, you risk screwing up the mix. The ONLY EQing you
should do first is high and low pass filters to cut out unnecessary
frequencies (use the ’40 cut’ presets and drag the one or 7 on the graph to
trim). The kick should have the most low end. Mix all your sounds against
the kick. Leave it at 0db. If you want that ridiculous loudness (which most
of us do), use Maximus on the kick. That’s how I start out, anyway. I use
limiters on most other things (but don’t ever, ever, EVER use a limiter on
the master track lol). Of course I’m still learning too, just wanted to
point out that there’s a lot of other ways to do your mixdown.

  5. Bro my beats always sound low after I export from fl studio.. I export in
wave file but still low… Someone help

  6. Damn you should really work for a record label like AnjunaBeats, they would
    love you there.

  7. Great tutorial, i have improved my mixing and sound quality using your
    recomandations. Thanks :)

  8. Don’t know if you mentioned this or noticed, your master was turned down a
    bit throughout the whole video.

  9. Thanks mate its help full. But you said at the end of the video that FL
Studio as no mastering plugins so what about some Software like Ozone and
other staffs. Is there some help or mastering please help me out.
