  1. Lots of good information in this Workshop. Maintaining the quality you have
made us to get used to. Thanks +Ian Shepherd

  2. Just starting out with this, so great video. Has anyone come across
horrendous latency with the MEqualizerLinearPhase in Reaper? Can’t find
    answers anywhere!
Any help would be much appreciated.

  3. This was incredibly helpful and answered many mysteries about the bass end
of a mix. Thanks so much.

  4. There is so much inexperienced advice about mastering on YouTube. I really
appreciate your professional experience and skill!

  5. The Meldaproduction stuff is impressive. The limiter is among the best in
pluginland, and the rest of the bundle is simply from outer space. Nothing
repeating or redundant, and one of the best analysers out there.

  6. Hey ian good job but i personally use different tools and do thing
differently but thats the fun of it.
    Peace!

  7. Hi Ian. The audio examples all seem to be in mono. Was that intentional for
    this webinar?

  8. Hi Ian.What about sending tracks to radio stations? Is there anything
different you would do for mastering for a radio situation e.g. less
    emphasis on boosting bass?

  9. I first watched this at least a year ago, and immediately put SPAN into my
toolkit as a ballpark kind of tool. I’m no mastering engineer, but I do
master my own recordings/mixes, so I mix with SPAN on my stereo buss,
post-fader, basically as another way for me to check that I’ve got a
well-balanced mix. Between SPAN, a second set of monitors, and reference
tracks, my mixes have come alive over the last couple of years.

    Thanks, Ian! :)

  10. this is good , lotsa no-nonesense advice and methodology : )

so we should always go for linear phase eq’ing ? : )

do you think your setup for mastering is better than ozone 7 ? or is it
    similar ?
i can see you are truly trying to avoid distortion by using the correct
    tools. : )

  11. just out of curiosity, how many tracks do you think you have mastered in
    your illustrious career ?! : )
