How To Record Vocals 101 Part 5 (Mixing And Mastering)
Part 6:
Wisp will talk about the role of mixing and mastering in the entire productive process and why they can’t be done at home as recording. Next video will be recording from the point of view of the artist, with a small interview to Taglio.

Qui Wisp ci parlerà in generale di mixing e mastering, spiegherà l’utilità di questi due importanti passaggi e della differenza tra un mastering fatto in casa e uno fatto in uno studio con apparecchiature professionali.

  1. thank you for the good Videos I watched all of them, I have a question: is
it possible to connect a preamp to an audiointerface? or one shall only
connect the mic to one of them ( preamp or Audiointerface). best wishes

  2. @Dini98 If you have an external preamp you have to connect your mic to your
preamp via an XLR cable (if u have a condenser mic remember to switch on
the 48v phantom power after you connect it, otherwise the mic won’t work).

  3. @Dini98 Then you have to connect the output of the preamp to one of the
inputs of your audio interface (not the preamped ones, you’re already using
a preamp!!!) and set a mono track on your sequencer receiving from the
input you’re using. For example: the preamp goes to the Audio interface
input 1 Left (when the signal is mono connect always to the Left
channel). On the sequencer you’ll create a new audio track and you’ll set
“Audio interface Input 1 L” as input. Ok?

  4. @DanielSilvestriProd thanks alot Yes the connection is OK but do you
recommend this way ? or its better to connect it to only one of them? i
mean do the connection to preamp and then audiointerface has any advantage?
I have Mackie Onyx Satellite firewire interface and Behringer preamp. and
thanks again for the great efforts making the videos

  5. @Dini98 It depends on the preamp. If the external preamp is better than the
one on the Onyx, so use the external preamp 😉 it depends from the quality,
I’ve heard Studio Projects VTB-1 preamp has a great value for the money and
it’s much better than most of the integrate preamps you’d find on ur
interface. I don’t know if your behringer is good too, if u’re in doubt
just judge with your ears ;)

  6. @Dini98 man, don’t use this behringer preamp…the one in your audio
interface it’s good enough. Studio project vtb-1 is a good one in the cheap
    range ;>

  7. thanks a lot guys, your vids helped a LOT best vids on youtube, related to
    vocal recording!
