  1. Magic AB is maybe a quarter under 58 dollars, now. For what it does- I
would argue that-that is expensive. It, also, used to be incredibly buggy
for me. None of this is to say that it is bad now. I, too, wondered why the
hell there wasn’t an alternative around before. I figured it would have
been around ten years ago. Luckily for everyone else, there is a VST (Win
x64/x32, OS X) called vstPlayer 2. It is 15 bucks, or you can get a free
version with some features taken away. Still, the free version will let you
    reference using a WAV file.

As for your list- very good list. My top twenty would contain nine of the
same plugins. Maybe eight- I am not sure whether I would put SonEQ or Slick
    EQ in that slot.

  2. no kidding huh? I figured, the way you were so stoked (and rightfully so)
about equilibrium, you would’ve had it since you tried it out…that’s one
    thing about it,…it ain’t cheap…have you seen fabfilters pro-q 2 yet?
they REALLY stepped it up…it’s still nowhere near as customizable as dmg
but imo, it’s got the right features, the right innovation and is painfully
practical…I’m not exactly a plugin whore per se…I tend to stick with
what I know works for me but I’m gonna pick up pro-q 2 as soon it
drops…my jaw was on the floor while watching that intro video…I
probably looked like that big british twilight trailer chick

  3. actually if you turn on the saturation modes to linear and turn on the eq
saturation slick eq is clean. and yes the GE edition has a super clean
surgical eq mode and more features including 2 very interesting tilt modes
added as a separate section so you can tilt and eq to your hearts content

  5. The last chart (previous link wasn’t clear enough):

  6. I could email you them. I saved them into paint and then resized them using
an old microsoft program called Pictureit! Express 7.

    Here’s another interesting link:

  7. Dude sounds high as hell lol.. talks all slow, braaaa.. lets go surfin
braaa.. Anyway if you didn’t want to wait 20 minutes for him here is the
    list:

    arc 2 – IK MULTIMEDIA
    OZONE 5 –
    IZOTOPE RX DENOISE
    REDLINE EQUALIZER
    TDR VOS SLICK EQ
    TRACKS CS BLACK 7
    T RACKS CS WHITE 2
    ECHOBOY
    TRIGGER 2
    AMPLITBUE 3
    SLATE DIGITAL CIRTUAL CONSEL
    FABFILTER-PRO DS
    PHEONIX VERB
    LXP PLATE
    RVOX MON – WAVES
    DC82 LGANHELM
    VIRTUAL TAPE MACHINE
    TRACKS CS MASTER
    VBC RACK
    MAGIC AB

  8. he lowered his voice… probably stretched the audio thats why he is
talking slow… why would he do this??

  9. Closest to CLA mixes I heard was Raz Klinghoffer’s, if youre lookng to mix
    your song, that’s your guy…

  10. I got Slick EQ in my Reaper, and it made it run baa-aa-dd. It just
continually stops every other second, depending on how many stems I’m
dealing with in the DAW. Less so if it’s fewer stems. Idk what everyone
seems to see in that thing.

  11. Would have been aawesome, if you took some time to preview what the plugins
    do

  12. I think the debate between FabFilter Pro Q2 and DMG Equalibrium is
legitimate, but I favor FabFilter, beautiful design, much better than DMG,
and it has infinite options, just like DMG, but is so much easier to use.
They both sound pure and I think they are equals in the end, its just a
preference of work flow (mid/side controls, eq curves) and aesthetics, but
if you’re in the market for eq do try both, they both have good length
    demos.

  13. IF U GET THE CHANCE COMPARE THE WAVES CLA-76 N CLA-2A, IK BLACK 76 N WHITE
2A, NATIVE INSTRUMENTS 76 N 2A. IN MY OPINION THE IK VERSIONS R AT THE
BOTTOM. EVEN THE NI VERSIONS SOUNDS BETTER THEN THE IK VERSIONS WHICH WAS
TO MY SURPRISE. I DINT MENTION THE UAD MODELS BECAUSE IM UNABLE TO GET
THOSE. FOR MASTERING IN IK AS A 1 STOP MASTERING PLUGIN ITS GOOD BUT
IZOTOPE OZONE WHICH NOW THEY HAVE A VERSION 77 MIGHT SOUND BETTER THEN THE
IK. IM GOING TO COMPARE THEM MY SELF THIS WEEKEND. I MIGHT DO A VIDEO.

  14. Using DMG Audio Equilibrium to find key notes, and then using that
information with fabfilter pro-q 2 is awesome. I’ve used both at my
friend’s studio, and they’re must haves.

  15. Do you think the IK Multimedia’s emulations of the 1176 and LA2A are better
    than the ones by waves?
