  1. about the snares and hi hats being panned in the center, you don’t wanna do
that to your drums. Kick and bass is definitely always center, that’s a
good rule of thumb. As far as snares and hihats, it’s always a good idea to
pan the snare a really small amount to the right or left depending on which
perspective you’re trying to mix from, and do the same to the hihat (same
direction as the snare just panned a little more). when you’re mixing keep
instrument arrangement in mind as you would in a live concert.

  2. So loading some presets on compessors and squeezing the outcoming mush
trough an EQ, thats you call mastering? What you have done is actually
insane. First why you are using 2 different compressors? its like you make
something to eat but before you actually eat it, you let it cool down and
warm it once again up. Compression means loss of quality you need treat any
compessor with caution. What you have done is distort you whole mix twice.
Second headshaking thing is you have an “compression” EQ above other
Bassboosting EQ. Please notice that lower FX channels always affect the
higher ones it means channel 1 is affectable by any other channels above
(2-8) (refering to this why you are doing this on the master channel?).
Same thing here you distorted it once again without getting any progress..
why? But there is another thing, every beat, track etc. is individual and
it needs an individual compression. Loading presets makes in this case no
sense to me. Sorry but its very terrible for me to see people giving
lessons on things which they havn’t actually understand right. I really
hope to give you trough my cruel critism some aspects so you can actually
    work on these things.

  3. mixing mastering is more about how you want your music to sound always keep
    that mind

  4. Dunno if its the recording but the mix itself sounds really shallow,
Mastering isnt gonna improve much if your starting with a bad mix, i think
this is what a lot of people dont realize (me included to begin with), they
try and master and it still sounds like crap, i read somewhere that the
higher end music producers hardly need to master at all because there mixes
are so well made, and after a lot of going back and forth my mastered song
and the actual mix changing the mix to sound good while its mastered i too
realized this, you cant rush your mixing people, if it sounds crap pre
mastered then all mastering is gonna do is amplify that crap, and please
people before you render your track to master it remove limiters
compressors ect and lower to -6db, i might sound condescending but i would
have loved to have had this bit of information starting out, good luck with
    your beats people

  5. Hi dude!
In some tutorials, guys advise not to boost frequencies with eq2 in the
master track. To low freq is ok but no boost. What do you think about it?
