  1. Great video, as always. Btw, it was Westbam who said “Production is really
reduction”. There’s a video on YouTube. Search for “how to make techno
    music 1994”.

  2. Nice tutorial!
I have a question: what do you think of Ableton’s Multiband Compressor? Is
    that decent?

  3. is the Multiband compressor that one that makes the wave file look like a
squished up block?like it evens out the whole wave file correct?because i
see alot of dynamic range in my final wave file?

  4. Would you then ad a compressor, say the SSL, after the multi-band or does
that do the job just fine?

  5. What are you speaking into? It looks like a miniature motorcycle helmet
with a mic inside. EDIT: or is it an oversized pop filter for a Blue Mouse?

  6. Curious, maybe this is already answered somewhere in the comments, but why
use c6 in combination with l2, when you probably also have l3, which is a
multiband compressor / limiter combo plugin also from waves? Is there an
advantage in using c6 and l2 separately?

  7. Aah I did have a good laugh when you said ‘bring it down, To Sit On It’s
    Face’

    you kinkster

    Love your tuts!

  8. Hey guys ! I don’t get it, why he compressed more the high than the bass
and why he has a fast attack and release for the high and not for the mid
    and the bass ?
Thanks for answering, nice tuto btw ;)

  9. Hey, i watched a lot of your tutorials and they were great help. i was just
wondering, many use ssl waves on mastering to “glue” the mix, but if a
multiband is used, should the ssl be removed?? thanks

  10. “Compressing that baaaand, and giving it appropriate attack and release…
I have a cat here… uh, really , uh, gives it…” BAHAHAHAHA! Fun stuff. I
dig the video. Thanks. Been trying to see how others use the C6 and C4
(respectively). I would typically run with a faster attack and slower
release on the top end, but you are mixing EDM, I would usually be mixing
LoFi, Hip Hop, and rock, where the need for the air and shimmer isn’t as
desired. However, you did give an excellent point. Most of that will be
rolled off in the EQ so that would create more of a round top end. I like
    it. Thank a lot.

  11. Hi any pro tips for me to put on my master channel for a mix.
    I use:
    Fabfilter MB
    EZ Mix mastering
    Glue compressor
    FL Maximus
    Fabfilter L

but it’s hard to control the volume in my mix does any pro reading this
advise me to use it like this or not?
